Originating in the East, Barley Grain was a main staple crop – and the most important bread grain. Now the grain is mostly used in beer production! Use the whole grain to give body and bulk in stews and soups.
Ingredients: Barley grains.
Cooking instructions: Rinse before use. Add 1 part grain to 3 parts water. Bring to the boil and simmer until tender, approximately 20-30 minutes. Or add directly to soups and stews to help thicken.
